Collections and payments

Record the payments you receive and make. You choose which invoice they count toward; if you do not, the amount is applied starting with the oldest open invoice.

Who it is for: For businesses that collect in parts and have several invoices open at once.

Sample: an incoming payment of 1,500 is spread over the two oldest invoices, leaving both with nothing remaining.

The amount spreads by itself

The invoice you pick closes first; the rest goes to the oldest open invoices.

The surplus is not lost

If no open invoice remains, the amount stays as the customer’s advance and is deducted from the next invoice automatically.

Undo a mistake

You can remove a collection’s link to an invoice. The collection is not deleted and the invoice opens again.

What is in this module?

  • Advance

  • Removing the link

The link to the invoice is removed without deleting the collection, and the invoice balance rises again.

  • Cash and bank account
